Swan Lake is located in the middle of Sitka near Halibut Point and Lake roads. Trumpeter Swans are often observed on the lake during the late fall through early spring when the lake is not frozen. They then migrate north to nest during the summer. Swan Lake is a great spot to see a wide variety of waterfowl.
Directions:
From the traffic circle at the junction of Halibut Point Road and Lake Road, travel 0.2 miles north on Lake Street. Park alongside the road and there is a viewing area with benches adjacent to Swan Lake.
