Just southwest of the Hollis town center, this spot along the Harris River is near the mouth. There is a large parking area with restrooms, picnic tables, and a covered gazebo area with a fire pit. Trails head off from here to the east and provide plenty of access and hiking through forested areas along streams and the Harris River itself. Sightings of Belted Kingfisher, American Dipper, and Common Merganser would complement the usual woodland birds. The estuary could be good for shorebirds.

Directions: 

From the Inter-Island Ferry Authority, head north on the Ferry Loading Ramp toward Hollis Road. The Ferry Loading Ramp turns slightly left and becomes Hollis Road or State Highway 924. Travel west for about 4.7 miles. Turn left onto Spruce Circle and travel for approximately .7 miles until you reach the large parking area on the left.
