Lauren Cusimano, Communications Manager

As an editor and journalist from Phoenix, Lauren has covered culture, music, and food, as well as food waste and sustainability. She graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication (where she later became an instructor). But though her background is in journalism, her personal interests are in conservation and birds.
Lauren first moved to Juneau, Alaska/Áakʼw Ḵwáan Territory in the summer of 2021 to do communications for Southeast Alaska Conservation Council and later the Juneau Audubon Society. She now resides in Anchorage.
Besides birding or working to protect birds, catch her cycling, reselling, or singing to her cat Fred Meyer.
