Mosquito Lake
Mosquito Lake is adjacent to the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve. At this location, you will also find the Mosquito Lake State Recreation Site which is a good location for you to start your exploration of the Mosquito Lake area. On your way to Mosquito Lake you will pass the Kroschel Wildlife Center located at 1.8 mile Mosquito Lake Road, at this center you can see some of Alaska’s wildlife up close including moose, wolves, wolverine, and lynx.
Directions:
From Klukwan, head north on the Haines Highway 5.5 miles. Turn right on Mosquito Lake Road and drive 2.2 miles to Mosquito Lake.
