Saxman Town Center
More than 120 bird species have been observed near the village of Saxman. As a coastal community, Saxman is a good location to see birds in both the marine environment as well as in the habitats surrounding the community. A wide variety of gulls, waterfowl, and other seabirds can be observed including Harlequin Duck, Surf and White-winged Scoter, Barrow’s Goldeneye, Pelagic Cormorant, and Black Turnstone. A diversity of passerines can also be found.

Located approximately 5 miles south of Ketchikan Ferry Terminal on the South Tongass Highway.
