Volunteer Park Trails
The Volunteer Park Trails are managed by the City of Wrangell and consist of developed gravel half-mile and one-mile loop trails for hikes through the two main habitats found on Wrangell Island—the dense spruce-hemlock forest and the open muskeg wetland. Interpretive signs provide information on the surrounding habitats.
Watch for Hermit and Varied Thrush, Dark-eyed Junco, Hairy Woodpecker, Pacific-slope Flycatcher, and a variety of other passerines.
