Turnaround Park is a Sitka city park near the harbor. The site has picnic tables and other facilities. Bald Eagles often congregate near the park and harbor from spring to mid-summer. You may also find Great Blue Heron as well as shorebirds during migration and other species at this site.
Directions:
From the traffic circle at the junction of Halibut Point Road and Lake Road, travel 0.6 miles northwest on Halibut Point Road. There is a parking area on the west side of the road near Turnaround Park.
