The head of Coffman Cove is an estuary where the tidal salt waters and the fresh water of Coffman Creek mix. Watch for waterfowl and shorebirds at this location. Arriving 1-2 hours before high tide is helpful, as the rising tide will move the birds closer to shore for better viewing.
Directions:
From Coffman Cove, drive 2.2 miles on Coffman Cove Road to the parking area on the north side of the road.
