Chilkat River Valley
The Chilkat River Valley or ‘Valley of Eagles’ is a scenic river valley that runs for over 50 miles from high in the mountains of British Columbia in Canada to Chilkat Inlet near Haines Alaska and surrounds the village of Klukwan.
Directions:
From Haines you can follow the Haines Highway North for 27 miles along the Chilkat River Valley starting at the Chilkat Inlet. At Mile 27, Mosquito Lake road can be followed to continue to exploring the Chilkat River Valley towards its upper reaches.
