City Dock
The City Dock is a good location for birding the marine waters of Zimovia Straight adjacent to the town of Wrangell. This is easily accessed by walking from many locations in town and is the dock used by cruise ships stopping in Wrangell. A diversity of gull species are often observed from City Dock including Herring Gull, Glaucous-winged Gull, Mew Gull, Iceland Gull, and Bonaparte’s Gull. Spot other classic Alaska seabirds such as Pigeon Guillemot, Marbled Murrelet, Black-legged Kittiwake, and Pelagic Cormorant.
