Approximately 50 species have been documented in Wrangell.

The town of Wrangell is a great place to explore on foot with several other close birding sites within short walking distance including: Mount Dewey Trail, Ferry Terminal, City Dock, Shake’s Island and Volunteer Park Trail. The town provides a great access to coastal birding of Zimovia Strait and the rich waters of the Stikine River Delta. Approximately 50 species have been documented in Wrangell including a wide mix of waterfowl, seabirds, shorebirds, passerines and many other types of bird species.

Directions:

Downtown Wrangell Alaska: access by airplane, ferry or cruise ship.
