Spring Hawk Watch at Gunsight Pass, Alaska

Take a look at the Gunsight Pass hawk watch site in this video. Birds that may zip through during the peak of migration include Rough-legged Hawks, Golden Eagles, Bald Eagles, Harlan’s Hawks (a dark variation of a Red-tailed Hawk), and Sharp-shinned Hawks. Birds move through the pass to the rest of Alaska, some possibly going as far as the Colville River in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska on the North Slope.
